Acceptance
By installing or using Maxisave, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't install or use it. These terms cover the browser extension itself and the pages at this site.
What Maxisave is
Maxisave is a Chrome extension, made by Scalere Design, that autosaves an in-progress Maxient incident report form so a refresh, crash, or closed tab doesn't lose what you've written. Signed in with Google, it keeps drafts, attachments, and submission history in a hidden folder in your own Google Drive so they follow you between computers. An optional "Format with AI" feature can send the incident description and involved parties' names/ID numbers to an AI service you choose, to rewrite it as a formatted report. See the privacy policy for exactly what data goes where.
Not affiliated with Maxient or any institution
Maxisave is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Maxient LLC, Arizona State University, or any other institution whose Maxient form it happens to run on. It is not an official tool of any university, housing department, or conduct office, and no institution is responsible for it.
Provided as-is
Maxisave is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including, without limitation, any warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. It is independently built software, not a commercial product with a support contract behind it. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scalere Design is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it — including a draft that doesn't save or restore correctly, a report submitted with a formatting error, or a problem caused by a third-party service it connects to (Google Drive, or the AI provider you choose for Format with AI).
Your responsibility for what you submit
Maxisave helps you avoid losing work; it does not review, verify, or take responsibility for the content of any report. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you submit to Maxient, for complying with your institution's policies on report content, and for deciding whether using AI assistance or cloud sync is appropriate for the specific record you're handling — particularly given that incident reports frequently contain FERPA-protected education records about named students. See the privacy policy's notes on Format with AI and Sync with Google before using either feature on a real report.
Third-party services
Sync with Google and Format with AI connect to Google's and an AI provider's own services under your own account with them. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, not these — Maxisave has no control over their availability, behavior, or changes to their products, and isn't responsible for anything that happens on their side of that connection.
Changes
These terms may change as Maxisave changes. Continuing to use the extension after an update means you accept the current terms, posted at this URL.
